Tournament History The ZC Sterling Charity Golf Tournament was an employee-led initiative to raise financial support and awareness for charitable organizations. The inaugural tournament was held in 2003, drew 25 participants, and raised $2,500. Since then, it has grown to 144 participants and has raised more than $56,000 over the years. The goal for 2008 is $35,000. About Jimmy Watts James O. Watts III joined ZC Sterling in May 1999 and successfully led our tax business and sales, marketing and relationship management efforts. In all his roles with ZC Sterling, he provided leadership, direction and enthusiasm. In 2003, Jimmy took on the additional role of Chief Marketing Officer and led the Sales, Account Management and Marketing teams until 2006. Jimmy then moved into the Client Relationship Officer role where he acted as a “Goodwill Ambassador” for ZC Sterling. He promoted ZC Sterling through client visits, trade association conferences and other means. Jimmy’s many hobbies and interests included traveling, hiking, spectator sports, golf, and wine. In recognition of Jimmy’s contributions, ZC Sterling renamed our annual charity golf tournament after Jimmy Watts following his sudden death on June 13, 2007. He had a strong appreciation for a great golf game and for those individuals and families who face autism. In recognition of Jimmy’s contributions to ZC Sterling and the community, we are pleased to honor his memory through our charity golf tournament.
